To transfer Music Manager Software (Windows version) from
one computer to another you should complete the following steps:
- Open
the program as you normally would.
- From
main screen (Master Music Manager), click on the conductor logo to the
left of the title block. This hidden button will reveal a complete set of
menus at the top of your screen.
- From
the Setup menu, choose Registration.
- Select
“Deactivate”.
- After
you have completed this, copy the c:\musicmgr folder to a usb flash drive
or network storage device (Do not copy to a cd. This “locks” the files.)
- On the
new computer, insert your Music Manager Software 5.0 CD installation disk
and perform a clean install. First install Panorama Direct (step one),
register with your serial number when prompted, then exit the program.
- With
the CD still in the computer go to step two and install Music Manager
files. When you have restarted your computer as instructed, open
c:\musicmgr and either delete the newly installed folder, or rename it
“musicmgrbu” and save as a backup file.
- Insert
the usb flash drive, or wherever you saved the original folder and copy
the musicmgr folder to the c:\drive.
- All of
your shortcuts should work as before, assuming you have not changed any
file names.
- Be
sure that all of your data has transferred before erasing or deleting the
original musicmgr folder contents.
