Black Lace is a British pop band, best known for novelty party records, including their biggest hit, "Agadoo".
First finding fame as the UK’s entry to the 1979 Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Mary Ann”, British Pop act Black Lace went on to have a string of novelty party hits including “Superman” and “Do the Conga”. The biggest success came in 1984 with the single ‘Agadoo’ which peaked at No.2 in the UK charts and sold over 1 million copies Worldwide. Music Manager was successful in securing a sync placement for “Agadoo” in the 2016 Movie “David Brent: Life on the Road”. The band continue to tour globally to this day.
