Danish freak pop pioneers Kogekunst stunned the music world in 2018 with the release of their debut album SEXEDE (released via Music Manager). The album was met with considerable critical acclaim in Denmark with leading music publication GAFFA awarding it 5 stars and nominating the band for 4 of their prestigious annual awards including ‘Best Danish Album Release’ and ‘Best Danish Band’. The key track from the album “Kan Ikke Vente Til I Morgen” (translated: “Can’t Wait For Tomorrow”) gained them radio support from DR P6 Beat with host Carsten Holm even incorporating the track into a weekly jingle. In addition to this, the band performed at 2019’s Roskilde Festival and were handpicked by the hugely popular Danish artist Lydmor to perform at the Bremen Theatre in Copenhagen as part of the ‘New Tones’ concert series. 2019 also saw the release of their second album LALA which continued their brand of eclectic pop anarchy along with three more singles ‘LALA’, ‘ROD’ and ‘A-4 Flue’ (also taken from the album). The band are currently working on their third album which is due out in 2022.
